Treatment for mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease
The cholinesterase inhibitors used to prevent different mild to moderate symptoms. These cholinesterase inhibitors can prevent the breakdown of the chemical Acetylcholine that is present in the brain cells. Acetylcholine used for memory improvement and thinking. Due to the increase of Alzheimer’s disease, the production of acetylcholine also decreases, so the effect of cholinesterase also reduced.
For moderate to severe Alzheimer’s
Namenda, another type of medication is used to treat moderate to severe Alzheimer’s disease. This type of medication is used to delay the symptoms that are related to moderate to severe Alzheimer’s. Namenda can regulate the important brain chemical Glutamate, but an excessive amount can cause brain damage.
Use of oxiracetam for treatment of Alzheimer’s disease
